Growthpoint Properties Australia (GOZ:ASX) has released its FY25 Sustainability Report, marking ten years of transparent sustainability reporting and celebrating the achievement of its Net Zero Target1 on 1 July 2025.

National Sustainability Manager, Yesh Mudaliar said, “Our FY25 report reflects the strength of our strategic investment in sustainability.

“Achieving our Net Zero Target is a significant milestone and the result of a coordinated effort across the business focused on targeted capital upgrades, investment in renewable energy, energy efficiency improvements, and emissions reduction initiatives.

“It demonstrates our shared commitment to future-proofing our assets through sustainable operations and our focus on creating value beyond real estate.”

During the year, Growthpoint completed a climate transition risk assessment, maintained high NABERS Energy ratings, expanded its solar capacity to 1,425kW across 18 assets, and ended the year with a total of $1.3 billion in Sustainability Linked Loans, representing approximately 67.7% of Growthpoint’s loan book.

Strong outcomes were also delivered across tenant customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

Yesh added, “Delivery of these sustainability initiatives is good for the environment, while also delivering clear commercial benefits.

“From reduced running costs at sites, to margin discounts on our debt and improved stakeholder satisfaction from tenants to employees, it is incredibly satisfying to demonstrate that both are possible”.

Ross Lees, Growthpoint’s CEO & Managing Director, said, “Growthpoint’s strategy embeds sustainability as a key pillar, from strategic decisions to day-to-day operations.

“Looking ahead, a key focus is updating our sustainability framework to reflect evolving priorities and opportunities.

“This includes developing a Climate Action Plan that will set new climate-related targets to support our strategy of maintaining a high-quality, modern, and future-ready portfolio.”
