Growthpoint Properties Australia (ASX: GOZ) has today released its FY26 Sustainability Report, which marks the completion of its FY22-FY26 Sustainability Framework. The framework set 21 targets across 10 focus areas.

The report also introduces a refreshed FY27-FY30 Sustainability Strategy built on three pillars: Resilient, Engaged and Responsible.

Growthpoint's National Sustainability Manager Yesh Mudaliar said, “The FY22 to FY26 Framework guided the integration of sustainability across the business and delivered a range of meaningful outcomes, including achieving our Net Zero Target on 1 July 2025 .

“Getting there took years of investment in energy efficiency, renewable electricity and solar, and it has established a strong foundation for our new strategy.”

During the year, Growthpoint maintained high NABERS Energy ratings, increased onsite solar capacity to 5,817kW across its directly managed portfolio, and completed the conversion of all company bank debt to Sustainability Linked Loans.

Growthpoint completed its first portfolio-wide climate scenario analysis and is on track to release its first mandatory climate report in FY27.

Growthpoint's Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Ross Lees said, “Sustainable future proofing is a key pillar in our Group strategy, incorporating climate, stakeholder satisfaction and governance.

“It is a defining feature for the Growthpoint business as we see this reflected in tenant enquiry, occupancy and customer satisfaction, and it supports returns over the long term.”

The refreshed Sustainability Strategy was informed by a double materiality assessment, stakeholder engagement, peer benchmarking and industry analysis. This process identified the sustainability topics of most importance to Growthpoint’s business and stakeholders, considering emerging market trends, risks and opportunities.

“Our refreshed Sustainability Strategy builds on the work already completed. It has been updated to ensure our sustainability priorities remain aligned with stakeholder expectations, business objectives and the evolving operating environment,” said Mr Lees.

Mr Mudaliar added, “Our next steps are guided by three pillars. Resilient - Minimising environmental impact and improving asset efficiency and climate resilience, Engaged - Delivering an elevated experience for our tenants and supporting an engaged workforce, and Responsible - Maintaining an engaged workforce transparency and accountability while embedding sustainability into governance and decision-making.”
