What is Growthpoint’s ticker symbol?

Growthpoint’s ordinary stapled securities are listed on the ASX under the ticker code ‘GOZ’.

What is a stapled security?

Growthpoint’s stapled security comprises of one share in Growthpoint Properties Australia Limited and one unit in Growthpoint Properties Australia Trust. The share and the unit are ‘stapled’ together and cannot be transferred or sold separately.

How do I buy or sell Growthpoint securities?

Alternatively, eligible issuer sponsored holders can sell their shares online directly through Investor Centre by using Computershare’s Investor Trade service. To find out more about Investor Trade, go to www-au.computershare.com/investor/trade.

If your holding is broker sponsored, or the shareholding is ineligible to use Investor Trade, you will need to contact an ASX-approved broker as Computershare is unable to sell your shares.

How do I update my contact details or investment details (such as communication preferences, method of payment or tax file number)?

If your Security Reference Number (SRN) begins with the letter ‘I’, your holding is issuer sponsored and you can update your details by logging onto Computershare’s Investor Centre portal at www.investorcentre.com/au and clicking the ‘My Profile’ button located on the right-hand side of the Investor Centre home page.

If your holding is broker sponsored (SRN beginning with the letter ‘X’), you will need to contact your broker in order to update the registered details for your holding.

How can I change to receiving Securityholder communications by email?

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to make the switch to paperless communications and provide Growthpoint’s security register, Computershare, with your email address.

You can elect to receive Securityholder communications, including Growthpoint notices of meeting, proxy forms and annual reports electronically. This is the most efficient and sustainable way to receive communications.

What elections can I make regarding Securityholder communications?

You can make an election as to how you would like to receive certain documents (including annual reports, notices of meeting and proxy forms) as follows:

  1. You can make a standing election to receive the documents in physical or electronic form;
  2. You can make a one-off request to receive a document in physical or electronic form; or
  3. You can tell us if you do not want to receive a hard copy of Growthpoint’s annual report. Growthpoint’s annual reports are always available online in our results and reports section.

When will I receive my annual tax statement?

As Growthpoint comprises of a company and a trust, we need to wait until we complete the audit of our financial results before we can finalise our tax statement. This occurs in August each year for the financial year ended 30 June.

All Securityholders who held an investment in Growthpoint during the tax year will be sent an annual tax statement in August.

When does Growthpoint release its annual reports?

Growthpoint’s annual reports are published in August each year and are available online in our results and reports section.

When and how are distributions paid?

If the Board determines Growthpoint will pay a distribution, distributions for the six months ending 30 June will be paid around late August and distributions for the six months ending 31 December will be paid around late February.

Distributions will be paid by a cheque posted to the Securityholder’s address as it appears on the register or by direct credit to the account nominated by the Securityholder.

How do I invest in a Growthpoint Property Fund

When there is an offer open, you will need to request the relevant Information Memorandum (IM). You can apply using the application form enclosed in the IM or via an online application. Please note, offers are open to wholesale investors only.

Is there a minimum investment

Growthpoint fund investment opportunities generally require a minimum investment of AUD $100,000. Alternative investment amounts can be discussed – simply contact us.

Please note, offers are open to wholesale investors only.

How do I update my contact details, bank account or adviser details?

You can manage your details online via our BoardRoom Registry or you can download the appropriate form from BoardRoom and complete digitally or by hand.

If choosing to submit a form with updated details, you should complete and return to our Investor Relations team by email or post.

My BoardRoom Registry login is not working – who do I contact?

How are distributions paid?

Any distribution payable will be deposited directly into your nominated bank account. The frequency will depend on your fund.

When will I receive updates on my investment?

Each investor receives quarterly distribution statements and quarterly Investment Updates as well as an annual tax statement.

Can I sell my investment?

Investors in Growthpoint’s closed-ended property funds should expect to retain their investment for the Fund Term which is generally 5-7 years.

The capital value of Growthpoint’s closed-ended funds will be paid to investors as a result of the underlying property asset(s) being sold and the Fund being wound up. In some circumstances Growthpoint may offer a Liquidity Event at the end of the Fund term. Details of the Fund Term and possible Liquidity Event can be located in the relevant IM.

There is no secondary market for Growthpoint’s closed-ended unlisted property funds to trade on, however, it is also possible to transfer a Unit Holding to a new or existing Investor via an off-market transfer. An Investor wishing to transfer their investment will need to independently source a buyer for their holdings.

Can I transfer my units?

You can transfer your units in a Growthpoint property fund via an off-market transfer with another investing entity. In order to complete a transfer please follow the instructions on the transfer form available from our BoardRoom Registry.
